It is raining cats and dogs today….. seriously,I haven’t seen it rain like this in a long time. I was going to walk to the polls today to cast my vote but I’m having second thoughts (not about voting, about walking). My polling station is at the elementary school that is at the end of my street (about 200 yards). Maybe I’ll be a typical “Americano”and drive…. how pathetic. If I was still living in Bologna,I would walk under the porticos and laugh at the rain until I got to a cross road and then sprint across to the next portico. Maybe I would stop and have an espresso with a briosce….. heck,I would go to the Nutelleria in honor of World Nutella Day. Have you seen some of those Nutella recipes? WOW! Check it out here:World Nutella Day 2008 Nice work Sara and Michelle!
As an independent voter here in MA we are allowed to vote in either the Democratic or Republican primary. Some states only allow you to vote if you are a registered Democrat or Republican, which seems ridiculous to me. This vote is just as important in electing our future president as the election in November. If you don’t vote today, the candidate you want to vote for in November might not be in the race! So get out there and VOTE!

Those who stay away from the election think that one vote will do no good:‘Tis but one step more to think one vote will do no harm. –Ralph Waldo Emerson

Thanks for the inspiration Joe! I braved the inclement weather today with Addi and the dog and went to the polls to vote…a little rain never reall hurt anyone, right? Consider it a little extra exercise! Ahhh…to be an American:)
Wow This is an amazing day….Here in Chicago we are expecting 15in of snow…I am voting tonight even if it takes me an hour to drive there. Happy Super Tuesday!!
Hi Joe,thanks for your comment on my blog!
We didn’t have a primary here today in Nevada,as our caucus was a couple weeks ago –the first ever caucus in Nevada. Nobody was quite sure what to expect, and while things were pretty unorganized, turnout was better than expected.
Now I’m off to enjoy some Nutella!
I’ve been hearing about the voting all over the news today…amazing how this very important event is making headlines in Italy. What cracked me up though was the small mention of SuperBowl on a morning show this past Monday. Gawd,if they had even touched upon the subject of the fullblown eats and snacks that is so popular on that day,I would have stuck my laundry into the electric dryer instead of hanging them out in the sun like I usually do. Ha!
Hope you made it out! I voted online this morning…laziness has made it across the ocean! ha
Registered independent in NY and I can’t vote in any primaries…ridiculous
Had lots of pancakes with nutella yesterday for pancake Tuesday!! God I love that day:)
