There’s something special about the olive, with it’s silver looking leaves and the way it flutters in the wind. It’s timeless.
Saturday night,E and I had dinner in the dark….. as I’m sure many of you know, there was a worldwide event called “Earth Hour”where cities across the world shut off their lights from 8pm-9pm to bring awareness to global warming and save a bit of energy. We finished cooking by candlelight as we got home a little late from running some errands. Don’t worry though, the pasta came out delicious. It’s true…. Italians can cook pasta with their eyes closed! Leave a Reply | Heading to Calabria? Need a travel consultant, place to stay or some great ideas for what to do? What, never heard of it! I didn’t read it on the internet? (Well, except here.) If they want the world to participate, they gotta give us a little notice!
Glad you were able to participate!! And I am with you L’oliva alberi sono bei
Homebody…it was only one city last year Sydney,Australia and this year it went global with 24 cities participating including San Francisco…. they even shut the lights off on the Golden Gate bridge for the hour. Google,“symbolically”turned off the lights on their home page (making it black instead of white.) Can’t wait to see how big it becomes next year. You can check it out at earthhour.org
