Lucky you,Joe! Sfogliatelle are my very favorite pastry. I hope you watch how they make them. I would be like a crow on a shiny object with that
Wow! Wouldn’t they rather live in California? Some parts really do look like Tuscany.
You have bakers like this in your family? Wow! I can just imagine the food and dolci at your parties! We have bakeries like this in Chicago, but they are getting few and far between. It seems the younger generation dosen’t want to continue in the family business. Sad for us!!
I was thinking along the same lines as Proud Italian Cook …”bakers like this in your family?”
And then I was thinking, why aren’t all Italians fat?
Not a bit of it. They feed on all these goodies and then strut the evening ‘passeggiata’looking like they’ve just come off the catwalk in Milan.
Lucky, lucky you…and E! To have family that can feed you these wonderful treats!! Sfogliatelle is my fav…and I know exactly where Agawam is…I’m dating myself here..but we went to *Riverside* there when I was a kid!!
Boun Compleanno a E!
looks yummy! How very lucky you and your family is….I would become quite large if I had those pastries at my beck and call.
Maryann:that would be a full time job:) I have to finish picking mom and dad’s brain first.
Homebody:are you trying to steal them away to CA??
Marie:It is sad,we are lucky to have them.
Sally:I know,we need to be careful and watch the waste-line. More walking:)
Robin:Glad you remember Riverside! It wasn’t that long ago (actually I think it was but I feel better saying it wasn’t)
Katie:small portions and surprisingly I don’t make many trips there for that purpose!
Yum. Yum. Yum. Those look delish!
Dang,I have not had a good Sfogliatelle since I lived in Brooklyn with my Grandmother.
We just don’t have places like that in Minnesota and I while I have made them myself,it is just not the same.
Wow,they look good. Do they make a good caffe too? Good job I don’t where the *** Agawam is or I’d be in there all the time:)
Your family sure have good food genes.
Ok,the canoli look too good to be true…YUM! I’ll be in Sicily in 5 weeks and my taste buds are counting the days!
Cherrye:I think a canoli will help you get better!
Ms. Pennucci:I do know there is a special piece of equipment that they use to make the sfogliatelle, which is also why they only make them on Saturdays.
Amanda or Julian –I can never figure out who comments:) they make very good caffe’but…. is my sister reading this??
Megan:they also make a chocolate covered canoli.:)
I have tagged you for a meme
Hi,joe. What fabulous pics! So nice to read your profile and to know how much your Italian heritage means to you. Auguri dalla Sicilia.
