Italy Vote 2008 – Take 1

It came in the mail the other day. Here it is, the whole kit and caboodle otherwise known as an absentee ballot or “Voto All’Estero Per Corrispondenza”. We’ve got our hands full with our own fiery election on this side of the Atlantic! Another? I’m of the opinion that if you don’t have the time (which you should) to invest in the issues and who stands where, get informed or don’t vote.

My favorite item is the blank white envelope.

Look, they make it so simple to understand with little pictures…. so simple a “Florida Voter” could do it! no hanging chads here. {Just joking Florida folks.. we love ya!}

Is this an election or a logo competition?

I think I might vote…. then again, maybe I’ll wait a few months for the next election.

    Vote, vote, vote! Vote for Veltroni (PD). We can’t have Berlusconi again. Can you hear me begging?

  • bleeding espresso

    Hi Joe!
    Interesting how the Italians go about the voting process — do you have dual citizenship?

    BTW, I loved your Easter recipes. My mom made all those fabulous pies and breads, enough to feed all my aunts and uncles and their families, too. Your photographs brought back wonderful memories of her kneading dough up to her elbows in a porcelain baby bathtub!

    Bella!

    Hey! You can make a cute little envelope, that’s cool:) Amanda

    MB and Rose – No worries, I took the questionnaire that someone mentioned on Bleeding Espresso and I came out for Veltroni.:)

    Michelle, thanks for the info!

    Barbara – I do have my Italian citizenship. It was easy for me since my dad is still an Italian citizen. BTW – my family always used the baby bathtub too!… weird or just big?

    Amanda – the instructions say not to write on the envelope. Damn!

    you had to know it would happen….

    i stumbled over here
    (bleeding espresso?)
    and, well, joe,
    i DO
    happen to be *a Florida Voter*

    :-)

    hahah!

    {~~~VOTE; even a caveman could do it~~~}

    somepinkflowers…. sorry:) You guys always seem to get the short end and it’s not even your fault! I was going to say, so easy a Bush could it…. but he hasn’t proven capable of much, so it wouldn’t have been believable.

    Hehe, I agree with you on being informed. Whenever someone tells me they’re in favor of mandatory voting, I always tell them to go watch an episode of the Jerry Springer show and then get back to me… ;p

    Btw, Berlusconi’s giving a speech around the corner from here today. Please vote!!!

    I agree with mb, bleeding espresso and anonymous. Basta Berlusconi Basta***! I’m begging too.
