My new project is taking up a lot of my time these days and I leave Friday…. back to Barcelona. DAMN the Spaniards for winning in penalties yesterday! Aside from the last world cup triumph,I can’t help but get worried when my teams go to penalties. Italy (World Cup 1994,Euros 2008) ,Juventus (Champion’s league 2003 vs. AC Milan) and sadly even the Atlantic 10 finals my freshman year at UMass…. all loses. I’ll take the last World Cup win over a European Championship any day though. So forza ragazzi!! 2010…here we come! Wish I had more time to blog but I’ll do my best to update while in Spain. To view more on my new project go to www.tenbarcelona.com a presto –Joe

I hate penalty kicks! All the skill and finesse that goes into playing the game, and it comes down to those lame kicks. What unfair pressure on the poor goalkeeper. Anyway,2010 it is! In bocca al lupo on your new project!
2010 indeed Joe…the game was horrible and I was so upset with how the game panned out. Penalty kicks are,in my opinion,no way to win a game. It is basically a crap way of winning, not by skill, but by how you can trick the GK which way you are heading. Sorry for the rant,I played soccer for 15 years…I still get heated!
I’ve looked at your site –that’s why you travel so much!
A proposito dei penalty shoot-outs:I remember a time when England lost a game on them. We were only cheered up by a comment of one of our mums who said,“This is so exciting! Why don’t they just do this at the beginning?”
We love Barcelona, spent a fab 10 days back in 2003..it was great,we will go back one day,as we certainly didn;t get to see everything, but it was brilliant.
I adore Barcelona! Say hello to Gaudi for me.
Happy 4th of July!
