I love opera music….. mostly because of Andrea Bocelli. In my opinion,he expanded opera music’s audience 10 fold. People who never thought they enjoyed opera music started listening to it (me being one of them.) It has the ability to move people, make them cry, make them hope, make them smile. Check out this audition video from “Britain’s got Talent”if you live in the States there’s a good chance you haven’t seen it…. if you’re from the UK it’s old news but still such a great story. Watch the judges’faces as the video progresses,it’s priceless. Hope you enjoy it. (thanks to myredroom for the video)
I agree with you about Andrea Bocelli. On the US version of the show there was a guy with a similar story, except he was an insurance salesman. He also sang Nessum Dorma and it was unbelieveable. Everytime I hear that song,I get the chills and it brings tears to my eyes, everytime!
How beautiful! It brought tears to my eyes. I never watch those shows because, well,I just can’t be bothered, but someone with his talent deserves to be heard. Hope he succeeds.
I saw this it was very moving indeed! But I have to say Bocelli is my weekness,I have seen him in concert here in Chicago a couple of times, and when he sang there were tears everywhere,he gives me goosebumps!!
simon cowell rarely gives good comments in american idol, this guy here deserves it. too bad kids nowadays (including myself) aren’t so hot with opera. you just made me realize i’m not so good with music as I thought I was.
I loved this clip. I was lucky enough to see it on the show when it happened!!
And don’t get me started on how much we love opera. C. loves it! We went to Lucca, just so we could see where Puccini lived. And he cries whenever he hears Nessun Dorma.
As many times as I have seen this clip,I can’t helped but be thrilled for that young man.. to be born with such a marvelous voice. But I’d have to agree Bocelli is my first love.. and even Josh is pushing his way up into my heart. Thx for posting this one Joe
Our new business partner and chef for our new place is Andrea Bocelli’s ex personal chef!! I couldn’t believe it,he also worked for they guy who owns Diesel clothing!!
