Zeppole di San Giuseppe

My birth name is Peppino…so I fall under Giuseppe and get the phone calls wishing me a Happy San Giuseppe every year. For Italians,your saint day is like your birthday.  Zeppole are THE treat on San Giuseppe.  What’s better than Zeppole you may ask?  Chocolate covered Zeppole of course!!  Complements of my sis and brother-in-law at Giovanni’s.

    Wow,chocolate covered zeppole! Now you’re talking! I wish I lived closer otherwise I would have gone to your sister’s pastry shop. The pastry shops on this side of MA make them just alright. We had them with chocolate chips or cherries…But any way you have it,it’s all so delicious :) Happy belated San Giuseppe,auguri!

  • One of my favorite feast days that too often gets lost being on the heels St. Patrick. What a great excuse to break a Lenten fast.

    As much as I love living in the Pacific Nortwest,I do miss places like Giovanni’s.

  • I love Zeppole. I’ve never had it dipped in chocolate but it sure looks good.
    They are really hard to find here in Arizona but we manage to track them down ever year!
