3 – Pizza Rustica, Pizza Chena, Pitta Chena, whatever you call it in your house… It’s called YUMMY everywhere.

4 – Pastiera – it’s nice to have a Pasticciere in the family.

5 – Rabbit/Coniglio – it’s better than chicken!  I know, I said it…. it’s true.

  • Oh My! They all look delicious. Will you be sharing the recipe for the ricotta pie?
Looks like you had a great Easter :-)

  • Added to this, my great-grandmother made a twisted bread with a whole egg in it. Looked great, the bread part was good, but I always seemed to be the one to get most of the shell in my mouth!

Foodhunter… if I had the recipe I would share but that’s my brother-in-law’s and he owns a pastry shop, so I doubt he would give it up willingly!
I remember those Sandi… the bread was almost braided.

  • Buona Pasqua (e Pasquetta) anche a te!!!

OMG! FRAGUNI! Somebody else who knows of fraguni :-) What a treat. We always had them at Easter. We also had cuzuppe, which is the bread baked with the egg on top that Sandi referred to.

  • Imani

    Sorry…it is spelled cuzzuppe.

  • Everything looks delicious here Joe! I think you must love ricotta cheese..haha. But who doesn’t? ;)

Imani… thanks for visiting! I love Falerna!!We’re not too far from you… just on the other side of Lamezia: Feroleto Antico. Probably why we both know about Fraguni.

  • What a fab line up! Love everyone of them and wish they were making their way over to my table. Guess I’ll have to make some of them one by one.

What a wonderful site. I am so glad I found it.

BTW, I have a recipe for the bread. I don’t mind sharing.
