In the old days when I was a girl (long long ago) we had shops like this in our village. Grandma would take me with her each morning to the vegetable man, the bakery, the meat man, all separate shops. Everything was always fresh that day and the owners took pride in their wares. I wish it were like that again instead of having supermarkets. Don’t you, Joe?
