I had some but I’m not a big fan of Acqua Panna…there’s something about Acqua Panna that doesn’t quench my thirst! Evian has a similar affect for me. I think it’s too “soft.” Does anyone else feel that way?
Italians drink LOTS of bottled water. In fact, they have one of the highest consumption rates of bottled water per person in the world.. if not THE highest.
So what’s your favorite Italian bottled water? Naturale? Frizzante? I’m a big fan of “Ferrarelle”(leggermente or slightly frizzante) and “Futura”from a spring around the corner from my nonni’s house in Calabria. My father on the other hand, has managed to find a natural spring in the mountains of Western Massachusetts where he gets his…like a good Calabrese!! Leave a Reply | Heading to Calabria? My favorite is San Pellegrino. I’ve tried them all,but always come back to it.
Pelligrino definitely! I stock up when it’s on sale.
I like Pellegrino, but I have to say,Shop Rite has their own brand of imported Italian water that’s just as good!!
I don’t like frizzante and except for some restaurant brand waters which I can never seem to find in the stores,I have only once found a brand that I really liked (while in Piemonte) and then could not remember the name the following year when I returned to Italy. I can tolerate Aqua Panna. I really dislike San Benedetto though.
I always ask for `liscia`. We have San Benedetto at home plus Ferrarelle for my husband.
One things sure, and that is that the tap water is really hard. When I boil the water for pasta I have to take the scum off the top and scrub calcium deposits off after.
Absolutely frizzante. Evian tastes soapy.
My wife tried some Aqua Panna water at a resturant in south Florida and loved it. Where in south Florida can I buy it for Her. Thank You Joe
