The giveaways keep on coming on Italyville! I’m still looking to reach 50 comments on my previous post before giving away a copy of ABC Italiano (see below),so if you haven’t commented yet please do…every comment up to 50 comments equals a book to help a child start learning Italian:what are you waiting for!?
That doesn’t mean I can’t do another giveaway!! so here goes.
Several weeks ago,I struck a deal with the guys at oliveoilshop.com. They wanted to use the photo below that E took for one of my posts (nice job love!) the photo comes up on their “olive oil of the month club”page. In exchange, they gave me some gift certificates to their online store. They have some great high-end olive oil from around the world along with other great items,so head over and take a look. They have also been kind enough to extend 25% off to my readers by using promo code “italyville” during checkout until March 15th.
Giveaway:
I’m giving away a $50 gift certificate to Oliveoilshop.com. This is what you need to do:

Since I’m also Italian, olive oil is in my blood! I’m heading to that site right now.
uhmmmmmm….I don’t twitter but here’s my comment to help you achieve your goal. The pic reminds me of the song with lyrics something like this,“just a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down”except that we Italians (and Italian Americans) would substitute extra virgin olive oil, especially from Calabria, for the sugar
.
Va bene?
Leaving for la bella Italia in 6 days. Will be there until mid-May and I CANNOT WAIT!!!

Ciao,Joe,
What a generous giveaway —and that photo truly is gorgeous.
Best from your “neighbor”here on Cape Cod,

Your Olive oil from Italy as pretty damn good and that is coming from a Greek guy
I would so love to win that olive oil. Yum!
Yum! Olive oil is the fountain of youth! I’m almost out too
Ciao Joe….awesome info on the greatest nectar of the gods….Olive Oil! I have olive oil every day of my life. There was an article many years ago about an old lady in Italy, who was 103 years old. She stated the secret to her longevity was her drinking a cup of olive oil a day. Ever since then,I’ve been on it! I live in Pennsylvania, from South Philly, and it takes some looking to find some REALLY good olive oil. The hicks drink castor oil and think it’s good olive oil!!! (no offense!) I could sustain life on just olive oil and garlic!! Oh,and nice warm fresh bread;) Off to add to Facebook…
Ciao i ragazzi,e stata buono!!
Nice action! Perhaps i am the winner?
Ciao!
You are amazing –you will have the entire continent cooking Italian in no time.
what do you prefer when cooking –extra virgin or normal or light olive oil? I always use extra virgin for everything,i.e. salads, frying up cutlets,in tomato sauce…..there’s such a difference.
Thanks for all of the hard work that goes into your blog!
This is a great giveaway. I’m now following with networked blogs through facebook.
Ciao Joe! Ho appena saputo del tuo blog dopo aver ricevuto un messaggio da Carolina (dalla Piazza di Carolina) Sono Melissa, abito a San Francisco e io scrivo un blog “Diario di una Studentessa Matta”
(http://melissamuldoon.wordpress.com) Vieni a trovarmi!
Non uso mai nessun altro tipo di olio, che l’olio d’oliva! In fatti ho fatto la pasta a mano l’altro giorno e ho usato soltanto l’uova,l’olio d’oliva e la farina! La pasta era buonissima!
Fabulous job Joe! I really have to get with the times and put PIC on Facebook!
Love your site! Thank you!
