(Best wishes for a very Happy Easter.) Here are a few traditional Calabrian foods we will be eating tomorrow at our house. And here’s a recipe for Fraguni, which are my favorite! What will be on your menu tomorrow? I brought back a few special things for a lucky winner from my last post that I chose at random and the winner is Natalie from Love,Natalie. Congratulations Natalie! I hope everyone enjoys the holiday weekend. Here a few photos from my trip. I’ll post more soon.

Oh boy Joe –lovely photos –Are those wild mustard greens starting to flower? My husband picked a bunch yesterday and we had some for dinner last night. More for Easter dinner. Love, love the gelato too and the beautiful lemon tree. Welcome home. Now let’s hear about what you ate.
Welcome home Joe! Buona Pasqua.. I’ve been anxiously waiting for your return. Can’t wait to see how you spent your holiday. Love the shots.. lemons, lemons, gelato! Something tells me you ate well. Have a super holiday.
Welcome home. We will have a somewhat non-traditional Easter this year but the Italian Easter Wheat Pies are made (enough to feed Naples) and some herbed-goat-cheese raviolis are “resting.”) Buona Pasqua to you and yours. Your photos are one huge spring,Easter smile.
Did you take these photos Joe? They look so professional –they are great! Wishing you a Buona Pasqua a te a tutti tuoi!
Beautiful pictures. And a very Happy Easter to you too.
Welcome back Joe! I love the lemon trees, and of course the gelato, anxious to hear what other kind of food you ate there,I’m sure it was outstanding as I know you have a family full of wonderful cooks!
Buona Pasqua to your and yours, too. Joe. I’m sure your holiday was even more special spent in Italy with family. Your photographs are beautiful — just look at that lemon tree! Can I stow away in your luggage the next time you go?!
Joe,welcome back, surely you had a wonderful time in Italy and hope you had a festive and restful Easter!
Wow the pictures you nice and the food looks great…
Wow…I can’t believe that you have the pasta pie recipe(my family calls it “macaroni pie”)! We bake ours in the oven instead of on the stove. But we use some of the pasta water( so it won’t dry out) &some olive oil with the cheese, egg,s&p mixture. I was looking for Pasqua recipes &found your website. My family also makes the meat pies &sweet ricotta pie with citron, chocolate chips &candied cherries. My great-grandparents eloped to America &brought their recipes &traditions from Naples. Mom always makes stuffed artichokes &fried cauliflower patties. Born &raised on Long Island it was very easy to go to the Italian market. Now I’m in Texas &it is difficult to find the Italian specialities we love here. I do a lot of Italian cooking with my young daughters because I want them to share
our family traditions &recipes with their family one day. Again, thank you so much for your fabulous website…I can’t wait to show my family!
